Justin is in his first year with the PrairieThunder after playing at Oklahoma City in the CHL last season where he was a teammate with fellow Bloomington newcomer Robin Gomez. He is in his fifth season at the pro level after beginning his career with the Toronto Marlies of the AHL in 2005-06.

The physical, stay-at-home defenseman moved to the Columbia Inferno after two games with the Marlies the following year where he put up seven assists and 182 penalty minutes. Except for one game in Stockton, Justin played the last two years with Oklahoma City.

During his two years with the Blazers, Justin played 121 games, scoring his first and only professional goal until earlier this season and had 21 assists for 22 points. He spent 508 minutes in the penalty box as the team’s enforcer.

He was named the most improved player in Oklahoma City in 2007-08 and the most under-rated player during his junior playing days with Oshawa in 2005-06. His fondest hockey memory and career highlight was participating in the Toronto Maple Leafs training camp prior to the 2006-07 NHL season.

Justin played at Durham College where he earned a degree in police foundations.
