Biography
Phil begins his first season with the PrairieThunder and his 11th season in scouting and player personnel.
He began his career with the Columbus Chill in 1998 with legendary coach Don Granato in the ECHL. He joined the Peoria Rivermen staff as the head scout in 1999 in the ECHL.
Hollinger was with championship teams in Columbus in 1998 and Peoria in 2000.
He remained with the Rivermen until 2005 before joining the Tulsa Oilers of the CHL in 2006 as Director of Player Personnel.
Hollinger resides in Oshawa, Ontario Canada with wife, Laura. He is responsible for scouting major junior, tier II and college levels, while assisting with recruiting and working with player agents. Phil Hollinger is not an employee of Bloomington PrairieThunder Hockey LLC, or any of its affiliated entities. He is an independent contractor/consultant for the team performing scouting duties on a consulting basis.
